I ~heart~ Ross!

OK. I think I have started something here and it has the potential to become a real problem! Last week I posted about the $80 dress I got at Ross for $11 and how excited I was about it. Well I wore it to my nieces' baby dedications and I still liked it. You know what I mean?
Oh. You don't huh.

Well, sometimes after I buy things, and even when I try them on in the dressing room, I think I really like them. Then I bring them home to the real world and when I'm actually wearing it I decide I really don't like it as much as I thought I did. Doesn't that ever happen to y'all? Maybe I have a mental condition or something. I'm sure I do.

Anyways, I wore the dress for the service and I still liked it.  I think I'll wear it to church this Sunday too as a matter of fact. I didn't get a full body shot in it (you're welcome) or I would share...maybe not.

Back to what I was trying to say:

I went to Ross, again, (see the problem??) yesterday after a friend called me up and asked if I wanted to go. We looked around a bit and I found some cute picture frames I decided to buy and this pillow sham.

The only problem is that I could find only one! I looked high and low, but alas, I could not find a mate for this lonely sham. The package was open already, but upon inspection I noticed that the pillow was without defect. (yay!) and then I looked at the price....$3.99! How could I go wrong? So, in my mind I started thinking about how I was going to put it to good use.

I have decided to cut it up and make smaller accent pillows with it.

Maybe I will do some embroidery on them, or maybe some appliques....I'm not sure yet.

Here is the duvet cover I have right now:

**This is NOT my bed** I wish it was though!!

The duvet cover is from Pinecone Hill and its called Scramble Citrus. I bought it one year with some $$ I was given for my birthday. I use it more as a coverlet now though because I couldn't get the duvet to stay in place while inside it. Now I fold the duvet at the end of the bed, on top of the Scramble Citrus duvet cover.

I really want to make a bed spread (whatever you would call it) like this one made by Kojo Designs .

But I think that's going to have to be a summer project. Isn't it just beautiful?! She got the idea from Anthropology. Then when that's done I'll fold my Pinecone Hill Citrus Scramble duvet cover (minus the duvet) over the foot and decorate with new handmade pillows. I want to use bright aquas, greens and pinks. Maybe even a splash of tangerine and banana yellow!

Speaking of handmade pillows, I saw this tutorial on Kojo Designs today: Purple Dahlia Headband. Go check it out...I'll wait.

OK. How cute is that??!! I think one of those would be cool to add to a pillow!

Whew! I just promised a lot, didn't I?
Well, I said it so I have to do it now right? OK. Ill do my best!

I'll keep you guys (or gals if you prefer) updated as I make progress towards my bedding makeover.
