I hope you are stuffed with stuffing and too full to move with turkey and pumpkin pie! I hope you and your family are having a very blessed Thanksgiving celebration!

I just wanted to share some fun Turkey facts with you today so you can impress all of your friends and family! :)

•The average weight of a turkey purchased at Thanksgiving is 15 pounds.

•The heaviest turkey ever raised was 86 pounds, about the size of a large dog.

•A 15 pound turkey usually has about 70 percent white meat and 30 percent dark meat.

•The five most popular ways to serve leftover turkey is as a sandwich, in stew, chili or soup, casseroles and as a burger.

•Turkey has more protein than chicken or beef.

•Turkeys will have 3,500 feathers at maturity.

Guten Tag: German Puff Pancakes

Today I wanted to share one of my family's FAVORITE breakfast recipes! They are call German Puff Pancakes. I don't know if they are actually German, but they are actually good! The taste and texture is nothing like American pancakes. It tastes more like french toast than pancakes and the textures is truly unique.

They are very simple to make. Gather these ingredients:

Once you have all these ingredients together plus a 9X9 pan, preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Now place the butter in the lightly greased pan (I sprayed mine with a thin coat of olive oil) and put it in the oven to melt.

Now you need to mix all the other ingredients together. I sometimes add a little sugar to the batter to make it a little sweet. It's a total taste preference though.

Now pull that pan out of the oven {once the butter is melted and bubbly} and carefully pour the batter in. Place back in the hot oven.

Meanwhile, put together your favorite fruit. We like frozen blueberries {thawed} and strawberries.

Look! Its Pooffing! hehe! To my kids, this part is like magic! They love to watch it get bigger and bigger!
Compleatly poofed! I cook it in the oven for about 25 minutes...give or take a few.
Now I cut it up ans serve with fruit and a dusting of powdered sugar! Mmmmm!

You can double this recipe and put it in a 13X9 to feed more! Its easier than doing batches and batches of American pancakes! You just mix, pour, bake! I hope your family will give this one a try sometime soon!

Guten Appetit!
